This weeks video is Karintou.
Karintou is Japanese traditional dessert. Deep fried brown sugar coated dough.
If you ever come to Japan, you must try this out;)
INGREDIENTS: makes 2
200g pastry flour
20g brown sugar
90g soy milk
1/2 tsp baking powder
80g brown sugar
1. Mix the dough ingredients and roll out to 5mm thick and twist each dough.
2. Deep fry the dough until golden brown.
3. Put brown sugar and water into a pot and heat it until it is very thick.
4. Coat the deep fried dough with melted brown sugar. Let it cool.
